US market hours in your time zone

New York's trading sessions on your own clock, with bStocks alongside

9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. That is the core trading session on the New York Stock Exchange, and the rest of the US trading day is built around it: an early session before, a late session after. This tool reads your browser's time zone and puts all three on your clock, adjusted for US daylight saving. bStocks don't follow that clock. Binance Academy's guide says they trade 24/7 on Binance's spot market.

Which clock applies to what

US shares. The NYSE's hours page lists the core session as 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET. Its early and late sessions depend on the venue: NYSE Arca runs from 4:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET, while NYSE American, NYSE National and NYSE Texas start their early session at 7:00 a.m. A broker may offer a shorter window than any of these. Stock orders under [Trade] > [Stocks] follow the sessions in the stock trading FAQ instead: up to 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, with the overnight session for selected stocks only and the service closed from Friday 8 p.m. to Sunday 8 p.m. ET. Our market hours guide sets those sessions out in ET and UTC.

bStocks. Spot trading runs around the clock, with two catches from the bStocks FAQ. When the US market is closed, bStocks prices are set by supply and demand on Binance and may move independently of the stock's last close. And during a stock split or reverse split, the FAQ's table of typical corporate actions shows spot trading paused along with deposits, withdrawals and conversions. We'd treat a big weekend move in a bStock as a guess about Monday's open, not a price the stock has actually traded at.

A worked example

In late September New York is on daylight time, UTC−4, and London is on UTC+1. The core session runs 2:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in London. In Singapore, at UTC+8, the same session runs 9:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the next day. The tool marks any time that falls on the next or previous day compared with the trading day in New York.
